The Masters

The Masters is often seen to be the biggest of the four majors that golf has to offer. It is the only major that is always played at the same venue, Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.

The tournament has a number of traditions. It’s main one is that since the 1949, a green jacket has been awarded to the champion, who must return it to the clubhouse one year after his victory, although it remains his personal property and is stored with other champions’ jackets in a specially designated cloakroom.

Jack Nicklaus has won the Masters a record 6 times, with Tiger Woods closely behind with 5 wins at Augusta. Those 5 wins include his memorable comeback victory in 2019, an incredible 14 years after his 4th win.
