AIG Women's Open

The AIG Women’s Open is a wonderful event taking place each year around the UK.

The AIG Women’s Open, one of the five major championships in women’s golf, was first established in 1976 and is now organized by The R&A.

Each year, an international field of 144 players competes for the championship trophy, with the lowest-scoring amateur, who plays all 72 holes, receiving the Smyth Salver. American golfer Lilia Vu, who claimed her second major title, is the defending champion after her victory at Walton Heath in 2023.

The 2024 edition of the competition will be played at St. Andrews, the home of golf, in what promises to be a truly memorable event.
