Rugby League showcases some of the toughest and most skilful teams in the world, competing in both domestic and international tournaments.

At the top of the domestic game is the Betfred Super League, featuring 12 teams from across England and France. The current champions are Wigan Warriors, who secured the 2025 title after defeating St Helens in a thrilling Grand Final.

The Super League season concludes with the play-offs, culminating in the Grand Final at Old Trafford. Clubs also battle it out in the Challenge Cup, Rugby League’s oldest knockout competition, with the 2026 final set to take place at Wembley Stadium.

On the international stage, the Rugby League World Cup brings together the sport’s top nations, with England, Australia, and New Zealand among the powerhouses. Test series and annual tournaments like the Ashes add further excitement, delivering some of the most intense rivalries in world sport.
