England v New Zealand IT20 & ODI Series

England host New Zealand for an eight-match white-ball series in September 2027, comprising three Vitality IT20s and five Metro Bank ODIs, as two established white-ball sides close out the summer.

T20 cricket compresses a game into a fast-moving contest of 20 overs per side, while ODIs stretch out to 50 overs, rewarding sides that can build an innings and bowl with control under pressure. Across the two formats, supporters get a full picture of both teams’ white-ball cricket over the course of three weeks.

England and New Zealand have met regularly across white-ball series and World Cup tournaments in recent years, including some closely fought contests at major tournaments. Both sides are capable of turning a match in a handful of overs, whichever format is being played.

The series opens with the T20I leg before moving into five ODIs:

IT20 Fixtures

  • Tuesday 7 September – 1st Vitality IT20 – Banks Homes Riverside, Chester
  • Thursday 8 September – 2nd Vitality IT20 – Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester
  • Saturday 11 September – 3rd Vitality IT20 – Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

ODI Fixtures

  • Tuesday 14 September – 1st Metro Bank ODI – Edgbaston, Birmingham
  • Thursday 16 September – 2nd Metro Bank ODI – Lord’s, London
  • Sunday 19 September – 3rd Metro Bank ODI – Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol
  • Wednesday 22 September – 4th Metro Bank ODI – Trent Bridge, Nottingham
  • Saturday 25 September – 5th Metro Bank ODI – Headingley, Leeds
