England open their men’s home international summer against Pakistan in a five-match Metro Bank One Day International series in May 2027, as two well-matched white-ball sides meet across the country.
One Day Internationals (ODIs) are a limited-overs format of cricket, with each side facing 50 overs in a single day. The format sits between the patience of Test cricket and the pace of T20, rewarding sides that can build an innings and bowl with control under pressure.
England and Pakistan have faced each other regularly across ODI series and World Cup tournaments in recent years, with the rivalry producing plenty of closely fought contests. The 2027 series is the first fixture of England’s home summer, setting the tone before the Ashes and the visit of Bangladesh later on.
The series takes in five different grounds:
- Saturday 15 May – 1st Metro Bank ODI – Utilita Bowl, Southampton
- Wednesday 19 May – 2nd Metro Bank ODI – Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester
- Friday 21 May – 3rd Metro Bank ODI – Headingley, Leeds
- Sunday 23 May – 4th Metro Bank ODI – Banks Homes Riverside, Chester
- Wednesday 26 May – 5th Metro Bank ODI – Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
