Liverpool v Nottingham Forest

Liverpool v Nottingham Forest

Liverpool host Nottingham Forest at Anfield as the two sides face off in Premier League action.

Liverpool endured a frustrating defence of their crown in 2025/26, finishing fifth as they failed to build on their 2024/25 title, though they still secured a return to the Champions League. The drop-off ultimately cost Arne Slot his job, and the Reds begin the new campaign under head coach Andoni Iraola, appointed in June 2026.

Nottingham Forest survived in 16th after a chaotic 2025/26 that saw the club churn through multiple managers.

The two sides met twice in the 2025/26 Premier League season: Liverpool 0-3 Nottingham Forest at Anfield in November, and Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool at the City Ground in February.

Where is Anfield?

Anfield, which has been home to Liverpool FC since 1892, is located around two miles north of Liverpool city centre, close to Stanley Park.

What is the address of Anfield?

Anfield Road, Liverpool L4 0TH, UK

How do you get to Anfield?

Anfield is well connected to Liverpool’s transport network, with public transport strongly recommended on match days.

Liverpool Lime Street is the nearest mainline station, around two miles from the ground. From here you can take a bus or taxi to the stadium, with a taxi taking roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

On match days, the Merseyrail Northern Line links with the Soccerbus service from Sandhills station, running fans directly to the ground from three hours before kick off.

Several bus services run from the city centre to Anfield, including the 17 from Queen Square, the 26 from Liverpool ONE and the 917, with the journey taking around 15 to 20 minutes. A dedicated express service also operates on match days.

Supporters are strongly advised to avoid driving to Anfield.

The streets around the ground are residential with parking restrictions in place on match days, so on-street spaces are limited and largely reserved for permit holders. Official parking is available at Stanley Park car park, though spaces are limited and pre-booking is advised. A Sandhills park and ride option lets you park further out and take the train and Soccerbus into the ground.
