FA Community Shield - Arsenal v Manchester City

City had been lodged in second place in the Premier League since the start of November, pushing Arsenal all the way in what proved to be a thrilling title race between the two clubs.

The last time these two sides met in the Community Shield was in 2023, when Arsenal defeated City on penalties, making this a highly anticipated rematch between two of English football’s fiercest rivals. The match is a great way to kick off the season, with fans often able to see new signings in action competitively for the first time in one of the world’s most iconic stadium settings. The fixture will be played at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, due to Canadian artist, The Weeknd, performing at Wembley Stadium.
