Arsenal v Coventry City

Arsenal v Coventry City

Arsenal host Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium as the promoted Sky Blues arrive in Premier League action.

Arsenal enter 2026/27 as reigning Premier League champions. In 2025/26 they ended a 22 year wait for the title under Mikel Arteta, sealing it with a game to spare for their first league crown since the Invincibles of 2003/04 and their fourth Premier League title overall. With Arteta still at the helm and Champions League football secured, expectations at the Emirates are higher than ever.

Coventry City return to the top flight for the first time since 2001, having won the Championship title with 95 points and 97 goals under Frank Lampard. This is the first league meeting between the clubs since Coventry’s relegation in 2001. The last time these two sides met was in 2014 in the FA Cup, with Arsenal winning 4-0.
