The last time England played Pakistan in a T20 match was in the 2022 T20 World Cup final, with Sam Curran being star of the show as England went on to lift the trophy for the second time in the history of the competition. This match serves as a warm up for the 2024 T20 World Cup in West Indies and United States, where England will look to defend their title.

The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup marks the 9th instalment of the biennial Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament, featuring men’s national teams and is under the organisation of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Matches are scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 30, 2024. This tournament, where 20 teams will compete for the title, will be the first ICC World Cup tournament to include matches played in the United States.
