2027 ICC World Test Championship Final - Day 1

The Kia Oval hosts the ICC World Test Championship Final in 2027, the one-off Test that decides the top team in the world over a two-year cycle.

The two finalists are confirmed once the World Test Championship standings close, with the top two ranked sides from the current cycle qualifying for the match. Whichever teams get there, the Final brings together the two strongest Test sides of the past two years for a five-day contest at one of English cricket’s most established grounds.

This isn’t new territory for the Kia Oval. The ground hosted the WTC Final in 2023, when Australia beat India in front of a sold-out crowd, and it returns to that stage in 2027.
