The T20 Blast, presently titled the Vitality Blast due to sponsorship since 2018, is a professional Twenty20 cricket tournament featuring English and Welsh first-class counties. Instituted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003, it stands as the premier Twenty20 competition in England and Wales.

Surrey claimed victory in the inaugural season of the competition, and over its twenty seasons, fourteen different counties have clinched the title. Leicestershire and Hampshire lead with the most wins, each securing the championship three times. Somerset holds the record for the most final appearances, winning in 2005 and 2023 and emerging as runners-up in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2021.
Gloucestershire will be looking to defend their title after defeating holders Somerset in the final in 2024 but all 18 first-class county sides will have their sights set on the trophy this year, as the competition continues to grow.
