Villa welcome Newcastle United to Villa Park as Premier League restarts. It is a battle between two teams hoping to have great seasons once again in 2025/26, fresh off the back of strong performances last year.

Aston Villa continued their upward trajectory under Unai Emery, securing European qualification with consistent performances throughout the season, narrowly missing out on Champions League football.

Newcastle, managed by Eddie Howe, enjoyed a strong 2024/25, finishing 5th. They broke a 56‑year trophy drought by winning the EFL Cup in March, securing their spot in Europe yet again.

In their previous encounters last season, both sides each came away with a win at home. In December, Newcastle won 3-0, and later on in the season, Villa got revenge winning 4-1.
