Villa welcome Brighton to Villa Park as Premier League continues.

Aston Villa continued their upward trajectory under Unai Emery, securing European qualification with consistent performances throughout the season, narrowly missing out on Champions League football.

Brighton, under new management following Roberto De Zerbi’s departure, endured a transitional 2024/25 season, finishing mid-table. While the Seagulls showed flashes of their attacking identity, they’ll be looking for more consistency and defensive solidity heading into the new campaign.

In their previous encounters last season, Villa took four points from their opponents. In December, Villa were held to a 2-2 draw with a late equaliser from Lamptey. Later in April, Villa sought revenge winning 3-0 away from home, thanks to goals from Rashford, Asensio and Malen.
