Villa welcome Bournemouth to Villa Park as Premier League continues. It is a battle between two teams hoping to have great seasons once again in 2025/26, fresh off the back of strong performances last year.

Aston Villa continued their upward trajectory under Unai Emery, securing European qualification with consistent performances throughout the season, narrowly missing out on Champions League football.

Bournemouth, under Andoni Iraola, had an inconsistent 2024/25 season, finishing mid-table. Despite flashes of attacking flair and notable wins along the way, the Cherries will be looking for greater consistency as they aim to solidify their Premier League status in the upcoming campaign.

In their previous encounters last season, Villa took four points from their opponents. In October, Villa were held to a 1-1 draw with a last-minute equaliser from Evanilson. Later in May, Villa sought revenge winning 1-0 away from home, thanks to a goal from Watkins that made him Villa’s top goalscorer.
