Arsenal face Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium as the two sides face off in Premier League action.

It was yet another solid campaign for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta in the 2024/25 season, as they remained in the title conversation for large stretches of the year. While they ultimately fell short of top spot once again, their consistency signals a team still very much on the rise, with hopes high for a serious title push in the coming season.

Sunderland return to the Premier League for the 2025/26 season after a hard-fought promotion campaign after winning the play-off final.

This marks the first league meeting between Arsenal and Sunderland since the 2016/17 season. The last time the two clubs met in the Premier League, Arsenal came out on top winning 2-0, with a more recent meeting in the League Cup where Arsenal won 5-1.
