Arsenal looked like the best side in the league for much of last season but ultimately fell short on the final day as Manchester City pipped them to the title by two points, thanks to their final day victory over West Ham.
West Ham had an indifferent season but ultimately will be happy enough with a 9th place finish. That wasn’t enough for David Moyes to keep his job though and Julen Lopetegui now comes in hoping for a stronger season in 2024/25.
This fixture finished in a shock 2-0 win for West Ham but Arsenal got payback later in the year with a 6-0 victory at the London Stadium, meaning both sides have reason to believe they can get a win here.
