The Masters 2024 - Day 1
The Masters is one of the biggest tournaments that golf has to offer. Every year, the best golfers in the world descend on Augusta National Golf Club for four rounds, to become recognised as a Masters champion and claim ownership of their very own green jacket.
There have been some hugely memorable tournaments over the years, such as Jack Nicklaus winning at the age of 46 in 1986, or Tiger Woods’ brilliant comeback victory in 2019 to claim his 5th title, 14 years after his 4th.
More memories are made year on year at Augusta, with 2024 promising to be the same again. Scottie Scheffler will be battling it out with the likes of Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland for the green jacket, but it is always dangerous to rule anyone out at Augusta as proved by world number 25 at the time, Hideki Matsuyama winning in 2021.
