England v Brazil 2024

England face Brazil at 7pm on 23 March 2024 at Wembley as they step up preparations for the European Championships in Germany in the summer.

These two sides last faced each other in 2017 as a warm-up for the World Cup in Russia. That game finished in a 0-0 draw as players such as Jamie Vardy, Jake Livermore and Joe Gomez all started for England. Fans can be expecting a very different starting 11 in March, as key players such as Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka will be looking to gel before another important summer tournament.

Gareth Southgate has brought this England team on leaps and bounds since his appointment as England manager, with a world-class crop of players and brilliant togetherness providing a great combination to help England progress to the latter stages of tournaments.

England lost out on penalties to Italy in the final of the last European Championship, and narrowly lost out to France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.  The only further step this team can make is to get their hands on a trophy, and will be hoping to do just that in Germany. That is why this warm up game against Brazil is so important for Southgate and his team.
