2024 Defender Burghley Horse Trials - Day 1

Set within the beautiful parklands of Burghley House, Day 1 of the 2024 Defender Burghley Horse Trials offers exclusive entertaining facilities at its prime location against the backdrop of the magnificent Elizabethan Burghley House.

Despite the sport being known as ‘Three Day Eventing’ originally, the Burghley Horse Trials takes place over four days: the first two days are dressage, followed by cross-country and then the show jumping round on the final day.

Defender Burghley attracts fantastic crowds to witness exhilarating equestrian action alongside browsing the world renowned shopping avenues in this truly stunning location.

Three Day Eventing is a comprehensive test of the all round ability of the horse and rider, comprising of Dressage, Cross Country and Jumping.
