2023/24 Newcastle v Luton Town

The 2022/23 season will live long in the memory for Newcastle fans, as a great season saw them finish in a UEFA Champions League place. This is the first time they’ve managed to qualify for the competition since the 2002/03 season, so this will be a historic season for the club.

New ownership financially backing the club heavily alongside Eddie Howe’s management has brought Newcastle back to challenging at the high end of the table, which they will hope to continue in the forthcoming season.

A once in a lifetime story took place in the Championship as Luton became the first team to ever go from the top flight, to non-league and back. Alongside this, other records were set, such as fan favourite Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu becoming the first player to play at every level for the same club from the 5^th tier to the 1^st.

Luton’s home at Kenilworth Road is sure to be packed out all season for such a historic season as they hope to retain Premier League status.
